Shauna will sing in the inaugural concerts of new professional vocal ensemble Vox Humana, conducted by Don Scott Carpenter. She is featured in Mendelssohn’s ‘Die Deutsche liturgie.’

The program includes music by Brahms and Copland alongside more recent works by Reena Ismail and Algirdas Martinaitis. One notable draw is “Canticum Calamitatis Maritimae,” a 1997 work by Finnish composer Jaakko Mäntyjävi that draws on a Latin-language radio broadcast covering news of a shipwreck in the Baltic Sea.
